Questions + Answers

Q: What sizes does your bedding come in?
A:  Twin (68″ w x 86″ l), Queen (88″ w x x90″ l) and King (106″ w x 94″ l)

Q:  Flat sheet or no flat sheet?  Why Simplified Bedding?
A: We figure there are two main types of sleepers.  And there are compelling reasons to be either one.
With Simplified Bedding, we cover every preference. And no matter which sleeper type you may be, you end up with simplicity and a perfectly made bed (in seconds!).

1/ Flat sheet users. These people like to protect their duvet cover. Or maybe they’re a little more traditional. Or they like layers, or a variety of sheet designs. They want a barrier between them and their duvet cover (perhaps because they know we shed more than 8 lbs of dead skin per year). But they have sheet tangle issues and, on some level, truly dread making the bed.

2/ No flat sheet sleepers.  Whether it’s making the bed or sleeping in it, these people can’t be bothered with a flat sheet. It’s sort of insightful, except when it comes to either not washing the duvet cover enough or washing it regularly, which can be overwhelming to tackle on a frequent basis.
The best of both worlds. First, it is so easy to maintain – using a (built-in) flat sheet with your cover, you just have to wash the sheet when it’s dirty instead of cleaning the entire duvet cover. Removing a flat sheet for washing is much, much easier than washing the entire duvet cover. Second, it’s cleaner. You feel as though you are not sleeping under a sheet and getting all tangled up, but indeed you are sleeping under one and it is keeping your duvet cover clean and protected. Finally, regardless of care, you’ll have a perfectly made bed, every time.

Q:  Do you have any colors besides white?  Why white?
A:  Simplified Bedding primarily on white bedding (although we have recently added choices of custom dyed colors). Know why? Because there is nothing simpler and it’s the ultimate in flexibility.  Here’s why we love white:
White feels fresh.  White is a blank canvas.  White is perfect for indecisiveness.  White is the easiest to launder.  White goes with everything.  White brightens any room.  White supports any crazy paint or pillow color decisions.  White bedding makes you feel like you’re in a hotel.  We believe everyone should have at least one set of white bedding.  Let Simplified Bedding be your choice!

Fun White Fact:  White is not the absence of color; it’s the color produced by the combination of all the colors of the visible spectrum. Maybe that’s why it’s the ultimate flexible color.

Q:  What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?
A:  Typically, a comforter is a thick, quilted, fluffy blanket that is used to keep you warm. It is usually filled with synthetic fiber filler which is quilted or stitched to secure the filling and keep it evenly distributed. Unlike a duvet, the comforter only forms one piece of all of your bed linens. It is intended to sit on top of your sheets and those who want a layered look might prefer this. Comforters are usually sold in bedding sets that have coordinating separates and makes decorating easy. Sometimes referred to as a comforter (especially in the United States), a duvet is a type of bedding that is a soft flat bag filled with down, feathers, wool, or a synthetic alternative. It is protected with a removable cover, the duvet cover. The duvet originated in Europe and was made from down feathers because of its usefulness as a thermal insulator.

Q:  What is the easiest way to attach/reattach the zip-sheet?

A:  It’s super easy!  Click here to view diagram with instructions.

Q:  Do I still insert the duvet and/or comforter inside the cover just like a regular old duvet cover?
A:
Yes, you do insert the duvet and/or comforter just like any duvet cover.  For more info., Click here to view diagram.

Q:  How do I use the duvet cover internal ties?
A:
The purpose of the internal ties within the duvet cover is to limit shifting of the duvet and/or comforter inside the duvet cover.  Simplified Bedding has four corner and two middle top/bottom ties.  Most of the newer comforters and/or duvets that you can purchase today have coordinating loops on the corners and in the middle top/bottom.  Therefore, when you insert your comforter and/or duvet inside the cover, you will want to tie the two together.  If your comforter and/or duvet does not have loops, you can makeshift by bunching up each corners and tying around it.  Although it doesn’t lay as flat as using the loops, you still benefit with less shifting of the duvet and/or comforter inside.
